Mr Prem Bhajanka is a first‑generation industrialist and Managing Director of Century Plyboards (India) Ltd. and Star Cement Ltd., with decades of experience in manufacturing and infrastructure. Through Namchic Tea Estate in India’s North‑East, he has returned to the roots of farming cherished by his ancestors, embracing tea‑estate management with deep personal connection. His journey reflects an industrialist by profession and a farmer by heart.✨☘️
Mr. Sudhir Kochhar
Sudhir Kochhar has led Assam Poultry Farm Pvt Ltd in Tinsukia, Assam, since 1987, building agro-business expertise through family operations with Puja Kochhar. His poultry background honed agro-management skills that he applied to tea, sourcing and planting a unique combination of rare clones at Namchic Tea Estate (est. 1999, Arunachal Pradesh), creating an unmatched clonal blend. His deep tea knowledge drove the estate's innovation, showcasing versatile leadership across Assam's agriculture.
Mrs. Puja Kochhar
Puja Kochhar holds the role of Director at Namchic Tea Estate Private Limited since December 7, 2017. With over 40 years in management, she focuses on strategic planning, overall operations, HR, and providing timely resources across scales. She previously served as Director at Assam Poultry Farm Pvt Ltd since 1992. She excels in coordination, communication, and accelerating projects in dynamic environments, serving alongside directors like Prem Kumar Bhajanka.
Mr. Harkirat Sidhu
Mr Harkirat Sidhu is a veteran tea expert with decades of global experience across Asia, Africa, and China. He specializes in regenerative agriculture and sustainable practices like integrated weed management. Formerly head of Unilever Plantations in Northeast India, he now leads as Consulting Program Coordinator for Rainforest Alliance India while running a consultancy to train small tea growers. He played a pivotal role in the first five years of Namchic Tea Estate's establishment and elevating it into a leading sustainable producer. Namchic Tea Estate has never looked back since….
Mr. Vineet Bhajanka
Vineet Bhajanka joined Akiya Tea in 2007 post PGDBM, belongs to the promoters’ family. He drives marketing strategies, operations, and estate efficiency for growth goals. Aligns field-factory-market for sustainable excellence and long-term value.
